I have cats (one 'helping' me type this review). And thus I have cat messes on occasion. The Little Green quickly cleans those messes on my off-white berber carpeting. My first Little Green stopped working when I used the wrong cleaner in it - totally my fault. So I purchased a second one. After 6.5 years, the grounding plug came loose (kinda surprised about that, actually). I called Customer Service to inquire if I could still use the machine (I already knew I shouldn't, but hoped that they might offer a solution/remedy).
Was told that I could take it to a local service center to have it looked at, and they provided the business name, phone, etc. Well, the machine was already 6.5 years old, and having one cat with a sensitive stomach, I decided it was time for a new machine.
Would I purchase a fourth one? You bet, as I have cats. This review was collected as part of a promotion. This cleaning machine is GREAT. I just spent an hour cleaning upholstery on a recliner, sofa, and cushion from a 30+ year old papasan chair. The cat's favorite papasan chair hadn't been properly cleaned in years and it brightened up noticeably as a LOT of accumulated dust was extracted.
The armrest on the recliner had some staining which was cleaned up nicely. I appreciate solid, well constructed equipment and the Bissell Little Green Pet Portable Spot and Carpet Cleaner 1400W doesn't disappoint. The average sized person can easily hold the machine while cleaning furniture. The power cord is plenty long enough, maybe 12-feet long. The instructions are concise and easy to follow. Two different 8-ounce bottles of cleaning solution were included.
One ounce (two tablespoons) of cleaner in the reservoir with hot water worked well. If I weren't a bit tired at the moment, I'd drive the car up near an electrical outlet and clean the car's upholstery. I don't see any down-side to this machine. I will advise users to practice awhile, on an old cushion or something, at all different angles, in order to establish a technique and refrain from over-spraying the cleaning solution. Most users would find it advantageous to have some assistance the first time the machine is used. Invariably, you'll spray too much water on one surface or another and water will run off certain fabrics pretty quickly. This little green pet portable spot and carpet cleaner works great.
Don't let this little size fool you, this machine has awesome power and suction! I have a small dog that can make quite a mess.

This machine is great to use all over your house! I love the fact that this is small and compact and I can carry it everywhere I need to clean. Not only have I used this on my carpet I have used this on my couch and it cleans with ease. This would work great to clean your cars interior. This machine has a really long cord so that you can move to different areas throughout your home with no worry. This machine is really easy to use, you just need to fill the machine with warm or hot water and add the cleaning solution, plug it in and you are ready to go.
I like the fact that you can see the dirt in the machine after you are done cleaning. This machine is great to have in any home. The clean up is super easy I just empty out the dirty water in the sink and rinse it out with clean water then place back into the machine. It does not matter if I have a big stain or just a little stain, this machine will clean up both with no problem.

It comes with two reservoirs – one for the water and cleaning solutions and one for collecting the dirty water. It has a good length of hose for the attachments. There are two attachments – a regular one and a deep clean one. It has an approximately six foot electric cord. There is a piece that the cord wraps around for storage. There is a “clip” that holds the end of the hose with the attachment on it as well.
The hose wraps around the bottom of the machine to the back when in storage. It also comes with two small bottles of cleaner solutions. One is for Pet stain and odor; and the other is a boost – pet oxy to remove pet stains/odors permanently. They are 8 ounce bottles and are concentrated, so they will last a while. I purposely left a couple of spots on my bedroom carpet that my cat had vomited or had a hairball on so that I could try this machine out. Anyway, the stains were dried and basically “set in”. This Little Green Pet cleaned those spots and you wouldn't even know they had been there in the first place.
I didn't even use the boost. I only used the pet stain and odor cleaning solution. I would highly recommend this spot cleaner! This spot cleaner is a small machine with a hose.
His does not have wheels to push so may not be ideal if you can't carry it or you may have to fill the container. Carry that to the area to be cleaned. It looks like it will be easy to use. We had no trouble getting it together and for the most part it comes assembled.
We only had to screwone part into place to hold an attachment and the other piece just snapped on. It is portable so can be used in the car. Simple straightforward instructions.

First off you have a list of safety instructions, most of them are basic and common sense. You can not move the unit while in use. It says to use with a grounded outlet only, nothing about use with an extension cord is mentioned at all. The cleaner has a cord that is close to 15 feet and the unit has plenty of storage for the cord that includes a quick release lever.
Assembly is super easy both parts are for the hose, one piece just clicks in and the other piece uses one screw and you are good to go. It comes wth two 8 oz samples of bissell cleaners and a list of recommended bissell cleaners. Maintenance and care of this machine is simple and easy pumping clean water through it and rinsing off the parts. The instructions have a easy to follow trouble shooting page that is helpful. The obvious solution is to simply speed up the film to match the television frame rates, but this, at least in the case of, is rather obvious to the eye and ear.
